You know how some grrrls seemingly just *get it* as if one night during the summer before high school they got on the Polar Express and it took them to a top-secret location where they all got a crash course on how to level up?
Well, I missed it. I meanβ¦ Iβm not mad. It makes perfect sense. I am a very heavy sleeper think Sandy Cheeks during hibernation and I am always running at least fifteen minutes late at all times so the odds of catching a magical train in the middle of the night were truly never in my favor.
Living life without that hypothetical crash course on how to be perfect put the ughhhh in tough. I always felt lost, out of control, super awkward, and like a complete weirdo. I found myself in a lot of situations that made me feel even worse and somewhere along the line I convinced myself that no one would ever fully understand me.
After what felt like a lifetime of letting my self-doubt and other peopleβs expectations of who they thought I was tag team me WWE style into a depression, I was able to overcome self-sabotaging behavior and learn how to create new healthy habits that helped me create a happier life and I want to share that with you.
I started this blog because I know Iβm not the only grrrl to feel anxious, to overthink, or to miss a magical train. I want to share my radical self-care journey and all of the things that I have learned along the way in hopes of empowering you to realize that your uniqueness is your power and that there is no magical class on how to be *perfect*, you can only be real.
