#HEYGRRRLFRENNNS<\/mark><\/em> Is it just me, or are we officially entering our cozy grrrl eras?? I am trying to be little miss socialite content creator and go outside, but everything in me can sense that winter is coming. Even the sun is starting to pack it up and head home just a little bit earlier nowadays And I don’t blame her! <\/mark><\/em>The sun is lowering, and so is my motivation!! It really is something about this time of year that makes you want to hibernate. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we have been working our booties off all year and we are literally just grrrls! For the most part I have been trying this new thing where I keep my mind where my feet are, aka staying in the present moment. I’ve had about three days successful days of making good decisions and “staying in the now” but today I caught myself starting to sing Christmas songs!! It’s definitely a little too early for Santa Baby or stressing over whether I’ve been naughty or nice (why can’t I be both!). Luckily, I know from my constant doom scrolling on social media that I’m not alone in this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a new trend blowing up the internet, and it\u2019s not just about cozy blankets and pumpkin spice. Say hello to the “Winter Arc”. This viral sensation, especially hot on TikTok, is all about using the colder months to level up\u2014while everyone else is hibernating. Instead of snoozing through the season, the Winter Arc encourages you to take charge, dig deep, and embrace self-discipline and transformation. Maybe that means hitting the gym, starting a new hobby, or doing some serious mental and emotional glow-up work. Sound familiar? That\u2019s because at Grrrl, Get Real, we\u2019ve been riding the radical self-care wave long before it was trending. We\u2019ve always been about resisting burnout, prioritizing pleasure, and finding ways to level up on our terms. Now, we\u2019re taking things up a notch with our very own Winter Arc Challenge. Before we talk about how we plan to make this trend our own, let’s talk about where it came from! The Winter Arc kicked off when TikTok users decided to reject the age-old idea of cozying up and doing nothing for months on end. My first initial thought was “Eww” but then I was like “yeah…”. We have been putting in a lot of hard work and elbow grease these past few months, and we did not come this far to not be happier and feel healthier! So why not make the cold months work for you? Whether it’s decluttering your digital life, getting into fitness, learning a new skill, or cutting off toxic relationships\u2014this trend is all about personal growth. Think of it like your favorite montage scene in a movie where the new grrrl in town goes from underdog to unstoppable force, except the hero is you, and the backdrop is winter. And no I’m not just repeating the plot of Mean Girls Stop trying to make fetch happen!<\/em><\/mark> If you’re still holding onto the belief that there\u2019s going to be a perfect time to take the leap, grrrl, did you not read last week’s blog post? I feel like I came off a little competitive back there, but I’m not! I’m just really protective over my grrrls and proud of us for staying consistent. The truth is, we are all in this together, and the more people that strive to be happier and healthier versions of themselves, the less cranky the world will be! Like imagine a world where everyone was actively trying to heal from past traumas, unlearn limiting beliefs, and felt comfortable and confident being themselves? That sounds even better than an empty mall where everything is free!! So we aren’t going to get caught up on who did it first *cough* It was definitely us *cough* <\/em><\/mark>What\u2019s important is that we all keep showing up, for ourselves and for each other. Let\u2019s join this Winter Arc challenge together and make this winter the season of us. No more waiting around for the perfect moment. No more snoozing through the cold months. We\u2019re unlocking our best selves, right now. And hey, it doesn\u2019t have to be perfect or polished. Maybe your version of leveling up is finally saying ‘no’ to things that drain you, or carving out time to do something that brings you joy, even if it\u2019s binge, watching your favorite series guilt-free. The thing is, we\u2019re not in a race, and there\u2019s no prize for doing it better or faster than anyone else. We\u2019re just doing it for us<\/em>, on our own timelines, in our own unique ways. Whether you’re hitting the gym, diving into therapy, or just taking a long overdue nap, it’s all part of the process. The world can be chaotic, but taking care of yourself? Challenge Accepted<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Okay, grrrlfrens, now that we know the what, the why, And the who did it first!<\/em><\/mark> it\u2019s time for the how. Introducing the Grrrl, Get Real #WinterArcChallenge: the winter glow-up you didn\u2019t know you needed. I would like to take this opportunity to say that our version of the winter arc challenge is less about achieving a desired aesthetic and more about practicing sustainable habits, looking good while doing it is just a plus! We don’t need anymore external pressure to be supermodels when actively choosing to show up for yourself consistently is already pretty hard. So let’s get into the details of the challenge! At this point, we are radical self-care pros so this challenge is going to be a little harder than our first #DetoxChallenge we did a few months ago. Here\u2019s how the challenge will work: We’re going to pick THREE<\/strong> main categories to create goals for. You can choose from mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. You don\u2019t need to overhaul everything at once\u2014just pick small, actionable goals for each category. For example, you could choose to commit to reading one book or listen to a podcast weekly that feeds your mind (mental), a 20-minute walk every day (physical), meditating for 10 minutes each morning (spiritual), or practicing saying “no” without guilt. (emotional). Next, we are going to track our progress! Whether you use a digital app or good ol\u2019 fashioned paper, track what you\u2019re doing. Not to be a drill sergeant, but keeping yourself accountable can be a game-changer for staying consistent. And now time for the scariest part of all: accountability!! (ahhhh!!!!) We are going to celebrate our wins, big or small, by sharing them out loud and proud! Whether you mastered a new recipe or stuck to your workout plan for a week straight\u2014acknowledge the effort by posting it online and sharing it with your grrrlfrens.
